Toribio C. “T-Bone” Salazar

Toribio C. “T-Bone” Salazar, age 75 of Seguin, passed away on May 23, 2019.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Tres Hewell Mortuary at 5 p.m. followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery.

T-Bone was born on April 27, 1944 in Seguin, Texas, to Alvino and Cruz (Cardenas) Salazar. He retired from SMI (now CMC Steel) as a Maintenance Supervisor after many dedicated years of service.

He enjoyed hunting and will also be remembered for his catering company, T-Bone’s Q. T-Bone also was part of the Cursillo Movement of the Roman Catholic Church and formerly served as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ramona De La Cruz Salazar, his daughter, Frances Salazar, his son, Martin “Marty” Salazar, his parents and his brother-in-law, Beto Aleman.

Survivors include his children, Johnny De La Cruz and wife Dahlia, Loretta Salazar and partner Conrad Garcia, Corina Salazar, Lisa De Anda and husband Manuel, Christopher Salazar and wife Monica, Toribio Salazar, Jr. and wife Louri, and Emmanuel Salazar; grandchildren, Joseph, Lori, Laura, Johnny, Gabriel, Valerie, Veronica, Victor, Vanessa, Valentino, Moses, Rachel, Sabrina, Samantha, Brandi, Brandon, Christa, Joshua, Brandon, Breanah, Francis, Cleopatra, Amanda, Tracy, Kayla, Hunny, Tony and Amber; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Abelardo Salazar and wife Angela, Inez Villareal and husband Felipe, Frances Tristan and husband Luis, Alvino Salazar, Jr. and wife Irene and Dora Aleman; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Vela IV, Gabriel Vela, Moses Salazar, Joseph De La Cruz, Brandon Hernandez, Joshua Salazar, Victor Gomez, Jr., and Joseph De La Cruz, Jr.
