Thomas H. Hansmann, of La Vernia, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at the age of 65.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hansmann (Danysh), son Eddie, daughter Donna, grandson Jacob, granddaughter Julie Ann; all of La Vernia, TX, brothers, James M. Hansmann and wife Kristen, of Garden Ridge, TX, Robert E. Hansmann of New Braunfels, TX, Jerry Ray Hansmann and wife Nell of California, aunts, Viola Gutthardt of Seguin, TX, Lou Audrey of Austin, TX, uncle John Henry Schmidt of Seguin, TX, nieces, Holly, Meghan, Jeri, and Laura Hansmann, nephews, Timothy, and Robert Jr, Hansmann, brother in laws, Dan Danysh of Louisiana, and Tommy Danysh of Alabama, sister in law, Maggie Shrove of Alabama.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manroe Hansmann and Mildred Marie Hansmann (Schmidt), brothers, Roger Wayne, Donald Lee, and Lyndon George Hansmann, and by Barbara’s parents Daniel and Rosie Danysh.
Thomas was retired from the Marion Independent School District, as a mechanic and bus driver with over thirty five years of service. He enjoyed his grandchildren, working on cars, drag racing, and watching TV; Wrestling.
Family will receive friends beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at Palmer Mortuary Chapel, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m.
