Keith Allen Miller, 73, passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011.

He was born April 17, 1937 in Anahuac, Texas to Anthony and Mabel Bincent Miller. Keith graduated from Southwest Texas Teacher's College in San Marcos and was the catcher on the college's baseball team. He married Carolyn Cooper on Aug. 17, 1956 in San Marcos.

Keith was working as an instructor at the Brown School in San Marcos when he and Carolyn started their family. In 1960, he accepted a coaching position at the Gonzales Junior High School and moved to the Gonzales community. After a few years of coaching Keith accepted a position as the Gonzales County Truant Officer. Keith eventually became the chief probation officer in Gonzales and worked in that capacity until he opened K Automart in 1981 where he would buy and sell used cars and trucks. Keith Miller was a gruff but tender-hearted man, through the years he has helped many, many people that came to him in need of financial assistance and never turned a child away that was in need of love or protection, frequently opening his home to these children. Keith was passionate about his conservative political beliefs, so much so he ran for State Representative in the 1960s.

He loved the game of golf and as an athlete and golf enthusiast he was fairly proficient around the course. Keith enjoyed collecting guns, trading jokes, watching sporting events and supporting his children in all their endeavors, whether it was academics, twirling, cheerleading, band or golf he was 100 percent behind them. He loved his grandchildren and was very proud of all their accomplishments and the people they had become.

On Aug. 4, 2008, his loving wife Carolyn passed away and a large part of Keith's will to forge ahead had departed with her. On Jan. 22, 2011, Keith was reunited his loving wife and there will be no more loneliness, no more heartache, just love, just love.
