Seguin native Ann DeFee used her hometown as inspiration for her newest novel.

“A Summer Place,” released this past July, highlights the iconic Guadalupe River and the Power Plant on the cover as well as inside the book. The Harlequin novelist has her readers following a homegrown love story that offers a nod to a charming childhood DeFee herself lived.
