LAKE MCQUEENEY - A 28-year-old woman was taken by AirLife to University Hospital in San Antonio Saturday night following a boating accident.

First responders were called to the 400 block of Isle of View for the incident around 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Guadalupe County Sheriff's Lt. Tony Slaughter said Song Choe, of New Braunfels, was injured after a propeller blade struck her leg, while out with friends on Lake McQueeney.

"Apparently the female was sitting on the back deck of the boat and went into the water and was hit by the propeller," Slaughter said. "The reporting officer said the victim had extensive cuts to one of her legs."

Slaughter said people that were in the boat were able to wrap a tourniquet around the wounds before first responders arrived.

Choe was taken to University Hospital in San Antonio, where she was listed as in stable condition on Monday.
