txcookie: I don't know how long you have lived here but please don't judge us all by what you experience at Walmart...where young spry individuals park in handicap parking spaces because they're driving their grandma's car and have a handicapped tag hanging from the mirror...where lazy people leave their shopping carts right where they unload them with the collection stations close at hand. Rather...look to the neighbors who may not know you but wave at you as you walk or drive by. There are lots of us here in Seguin. A few bad apples don't represent the whole tree!

It's comments like 'leaveseguinalone' that make me sorry I moved to Seguin. I'm currently in a wheelchair due to some screwed up hip surgery and when my daughter takes me to Walmart or HEB to shop I'm amazed at how rude people are. I'm in a manually operated wheelchair, I DONOT get one of the motorized ones so I'm a little slow. People cut in front of me, give me dirty looks and act like I'm in the way. I raised my kids to be courteous and polite and in my old age I'm ready to STOP and act like everyone else. Come on ... have a little respect for others.

leavseguinalone: FYI...these are the same "Legion Riders" or "Patriot Riders" that escort military funerals and make a grand showing when the "so called Christians" from a particular church try to disrupt the funerals of our fallen soldiers. They are riding to the American Legion National Convention in Houston.
FYI...the American Legion's prime focus is taking card of our veterans and lobbying for fair treatment of our soldiers. Incidentally, they also donate thousands of dollars each year to this a little support for the Legion's involvement in this event would be greatly appreciated!
I welcome these folks to our town

My son and I were lucky enough yesterday to watch the bikes go by. We waited about 5 minutes and believe me, it was the best 5 minutes of my day. It was nice to have them visit our town.[thumbup]

That must have been frustrating for you.

Trust me, I don't understand the dress like a pirate and ride the cliche brand motorcycle in a dangerous cluster of other not very skilled riders.

But, we take our tourist money where we can get it
and remember that it could have been spent in other nearby river towns.

Could you have found an alternate route and chill?

Saw them this morning, taking up the entire road that runs between Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn. Where are the cops when you need them? These "people" should be ticketed for parking in the middle of the road, blocking traffic, and making it impossible for anyone to use that road. Typical "ME ME" behavior for these "people", showing absolutely NO consideration for anyone else.
