Ashes to go

Kelsie Theiss, associate pastor at Emanuel's Lutheran Church, offers a blessing to a man who drove up to her during the Ashes To Go event on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in the Habitat For Humanity parking lot.

With dangerous weather and the presence of a pandemic, the religions rite of receiving ashes this year for some turned into “Ash Weekend” and “Ash a Later Wednesday.”

Churches in and around Seguin recognized Ash Wednesday online and during weekend services.
