Our city of Seguin, we all know, was established in 1838 by a group of Caldwell’s Gonzales Rangers, but was not incorporated until 1853 when Seguin and Guadalupe City (west of Guadalupe Street) was combined into one city.

There have been many milestones in the growth of Seguin. Buildings and streets were constructed and then named in recognition of city leaders who led in those improvements.

Floyd McKee is a native of Seguin. He is a retired Air Force Colonel and eight of his ancestors were among the 33 Rangers that organized and developed Walnut Springs and Seguin.
