The all-American city and capital of Ohio, Columbus, will forever hold a special place in my heart for a multitude of reasons.

First, it was my first home in America after immigrating from England when I was 10 years old. It was there where I graduated from high school and went on to secure two college degrees at the Ohio State University, making me a diehard Buckeye (no offense to all you Longhorn and Aggie fans).

Your column speaks volumes today and reflects the thoughts of the majority of Americans, thanks for sharing!

And no, as many of us were from elsewhere at one time in our lives, we’ve not slammed down the paper for your departure as you think of those days, we merely slide back to our own adolescence.
