One of the things I enjoy best while traveling around the Texas Hill Country is the abundance of wildflowers that seem to spring up everywhere you look.

Certainly, one does not have to travel far to see the beauty of the colorful blossoms across wide open fields, along otherwise barren stretches of highway or even in between patches of green grass and weeded brush. They even pop up between cracks in concrete and paving stones.
