Happy New Year from the TLU Community! In line with our local, regional, and global communities, TLU found most of the past year presenting us with unusual circumstances that, in turn, necessitated extra effort to accomplish what would typically be usual operations — holding classes on campus, having our residence halls open, and feeding students in the dining hall. A pandemic, a time of racial reckoning, and an unsteady larger economic environment were surely felt on our campus in a multitude of ways.
Yet even in those circumstances, the year also provided us with some powerful bright spots and moments to celebrate, reminding us of our potential to continue to be an outstanding university focused on academic excellence. In addition to our quick conversion to remote teaching in the spring and a successful conclusion to our hybrid fall teaching environment, here is a brief review of some other highlights for TLU in 2020:
