During the years I’ve been putting pen to paper writing this weekly column, I’ve openly shared stories and anecdotes about my life as well as the lives of my friends and family.

There’s one personal story, however, I don’t believe I’ve ever told to anyone. Perhaps it’s because it’s a tale of regret on my part and of my failure to follow through on something for someone until it was too late.
