One of the joys of being part of an academic community is celebrating the traditions and rituals that come with each semester.

As Texas Lutheran University comes to the end of this very unusual semester, we find that we are still able to celebrate and honor our traditions, even in the midst of wrapping up in some different ways and commemorating this season with some new takes on some old traditions.

Debbie Cottrell is the president of Texas Lutheran University. Her column will appear the first Sunday of each month.
