I read the article in the Sunday paper “Who Pays the Bill?” concerning the dams on the Guadalupe and GBRA’s inability to cover the costs to replace them.

After reading that — I read that the Texas State Senate just passed a $19.1 billion disaster aid bill which included $1.4 BILLION for Puerto Rico. Really???? I believe that $$$$ would have helped our issue on the Lakes here in Texas...

Congress funded $19.1 billion in federal disaster relief for Puerto Rico. There is a big difference between a natural disaster affecting thousands of US citizens and a flood gate failing affecting a few.
