Citizens in the Seguin Independent School District soon will have the opportunity to continue the positive momentum SISD and our community have experienced in recent years.

Approval of the 2013 bond proposal, which enabled the construction of our new high school, was a major milestone in the district’s development, as was the election of new trustees and the hiring of a new superintendent over the past two years.

It is now time for the next step forward. Our community is beginning to grow rapidly and projections indicate this growth will continue for years to come. Our schools must keep pace.

Passage of the upcoming bond proposal will address many long-standing needs in the district by providing modern, safe, accessible facilities on several of our campuses.

For the benefit of our students, teachers, and staff — and for the future of our community — we encourage SISD residents to vote “yes” in the upcoming bond election.
