Grrrreat page one on Tuesday, May 21’s Gazette!!!

Beginning with the two main headlines, “Lakeless life,” and “Evil did not win,” my attention was immediately captured and my desire to read the stories burned with intensity.

The irony of Lake Dunlap story which tells of the tragedy of the dam’s spill gate giving way to cause so much physical damage as well as hardship for the lake residents gives way to the phenomenal blessing enjoyed by the Sutherland Springs church so soon after suffering an even worse tragedy only a few months ago caused an emotional roller coaster for me.

While the lake coverage was a very good story I cannot say I appreciated it as much as the one about evil being defeated in the Baptist church story.

Thank you to the editor and staff of the Gazette for your coverage of both events but I especially appreciate our home paper being willing to report on the miracle of First Baptist Church. I only pray we can someday soon rejoice over another miracle, the recovery of the dam on the lake with hopes that none of the others give way in the meantime.

God bless you, keep up the good work!
