SAN ANTONIO — The Lady Matadors (22-16, 4-5) were swept 3-0 Friday night on the road by Alamo Heights.
The Lady Mules secured the victory by scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-20.
Maurisa Garcia and Sydney Riordan each recorded six kills in the match, while Darian Bugai posted 20 assists. Corley Ann Parker collected 14 digs and Shelby Radick supplied three aces in the defeat.
Seguin will try to get back on track tonight when it hosts Kerrville Tivy at 6:30 p.m. in a District 27-4A tilt at Goldie Harris Gym.
Navarro outlasts Canyon Lake
GERONIMO — Head coach Phyllis Fowler and the Lady Panthers (21-13, 2-3) overcame a tough challenge at home Friday night from Canyon Lake, winning 25-20, 25-17, 15-25, 10-25, 15-6.
Calli Allison totaled nine kills and three blocks in the victory, with Shannon Thompson adding six kills, 10 digs and another three blocks. Emma Johnson finished with 22 assists, while Kelly Kubenka supplied 11 digs.
Navarro will host Fredericksburg tonight at 7 p.m.
Lady Bulldogs win easily
MARION — The Marion volleyball team (21-8, 9-0) posted yet another three-game sweep Friday at home, this time defeating San Antonio Cole 25-10, 25-11, 25-8.
Meagan Littlefield led the way with 12 kills, with Cami Davis delivering 17 assists and six aces. Brooke Smith also collected six aces, while Sally Brown notched a pair of blocks.
The Lady Bulldogs will head to Cotulla tonight for a district match at 6 p.m.
LCS goes 3-3 at tourney
SAN ANTONIO — Lifegate (15-7, 3-2) wrapped up a busy weekend of volleyball by going 3-3 Friday and Saturday at the San Antonio Cornerstone Tournament.
The Lady Falcons posted a win and a loss against the host team, also beating Kipp twice and falling to San Marcos Home School on two occasions. Lyndsay Weaver was chosen to the all-tournament team for her excellent play in San Antonio.
On Thursday, Lifegate dropped a district match to San Marcos Hill Country, losing 25-23, 25-18, 23-25, 25-20.
Katelin Psencik came up with eight kills and 11 digs, while Rachel Cramblitt tallied 20 assists. Jazzlyn Rogers supplied 15 digs, while Weaver added nine digs and six kills.
The Lady Falcons will hit the road Thursday to face San Antonio Castle Hills in a 6 p.m. match.
