NEEDVILLE — The Navarro Panthers proved on Friday that a strong running game can make up for a slew of mistakes as they outlasted the Needville Bluejays 48-28 in a non-district matchup.

There were times in the game when the Panthers (2-1) seemed determined to let Needville (1-2) hang around. But their rushing attack was never even slowed as they gained 446 yards and found the end zone seven times.
