The 2020 fall season is fast approaching and local high schools have released upcoming schedules and guidelines for athletes and spectators.

The University Interscholastic League put out a release on July 21 addressing concerns and instituting COVID-based guidelines including spectator limits, sanitation, and other protocols for the fall season. Capacity limits mandate only 50% of fans are allowed in the stands and players, coaches and fans must wear face masks. This is unlike any other year as the UIL also mandated staggered start times with district classes 1A to 4A starting nearly a month earlier than 5A and 6A. Bexar County delayed the start of its schools, which effect teams facing district opponents with nearly a month of play under their belts.
