NHS, LCS drop road volleyball matches

WIMBERLEY — The Navarro volleyball team (20-13, 1-3) lost a four-set battle Tuesday night in Wimberley, falling 25-16, 16-25, 25-22, 25-18 in a District 27-3A match.

Kelly Kubenka supplied nine kills for the Lady Panthers, while Emma Johnson dished out 24 assists.

Shannon Thompson tallied 18 digs, with Johnson and Britney Pollok each serving up two aces. The trio of Johnson, Thompson and Calli Allison all finished with a pair of blocks.

Navarro will now prepare to host Canyon Lake Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Lady Falcons fall in 5

STOCKDALE — Lifegate (12-4) pushed Stockdale on Tuesday night before falling 19-25, 24-26, 25-14, 25-8, 15-8 on the road.

Katelin Psencik posted six kills and eight digs, with Rachel Cramblitt adding 17 assists and nine digs. Lyndsay Weaver notched six aces and five kills in the close defeat.

The Lady Falcons will be back on the court Friday and Saturday at the Cornerstone Tournament in San Antonio.
