BOERNE — The Navarro Panthers once again found the state quarterfinals to be their Waterloo on Friday night as they fell 35-14 to the Wimberley Texans, ending their season at 11-3.

It was the third straight year that the Panthers have reached the quarterfinals but they have been blown out in each of those games, never leading once. The pattern has been the same all three years — digging themselves a hole early through their own mistakes and then trying desperately to get back into the game but not being able to play the almost perfect level of football needed to do it.
