Carol Owen
Mr. Carol Owen, age 81 of Seguin, passed away on Oct. 30, 2008.
Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 3, 2008 at Kingsbury Baptist Church from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Kingsbury Baptist Church with the Rev. Nick Hart and the Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in Concrete Cemetery in La Vernia at 2 p.m.
Carol was born on Feb. 28, 1927, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Jesse and Olive Owen. He was a longtime member of Kingsbury Baptist Church and loved being with his family and friends.
His parents precede him in death as does a son, Roger Dale Owen and his aunt, Mary Walker.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Ruth Owen; children, Betty Jo Marshall and husband, John, Barbara Jean Barsch, Robert Owen and wife, Shirley and Richard Owen and wife, Trish; brother, Butch Owen and wife, Carol; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Russell Caddell, Larry Deharde, Zack Johnson, Nathan Henderson, Damon Cassidy and Steve Hollingshed.
