Delmar Wayne Reininger

Command Sergeant Major Delmar Wayne Reininger, 58, of Rosharon, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at a Houston hospital. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 from 2-9 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. 

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday,  Oct. 21, 2009 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seguin, Texas, with visitation at the church from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Burial will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin with Military Honors.

Wayne Reininger  was born in Seguin Oct. 22, 1950. He served 36 years in the US Army and Texas Army National Guard, serving in the Vietnam War.

He and  his wife Gail moved to Rosharon in 1977 and Wayne joined the Rosharon Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as chief for 20 years.  He was Past President of the Brazoria County Chief’s Association and a very active contributor to the community.  

Survivors include his wife;  Gail of Rosharon,  parents;  Elmond and Velma Reininger of Seguin,  son;  Kenneth Reininger and wife Christi of Angleton.  

Four grandchildren;  “Little Wayne”, Dustin, Paige and Harlie Reininger. Brother;  Ray Reininger and wife Cynthia of Seguin. brother at heart; Ronnie Mock and wife Eva. As well as several cousins that have proved to be as close as immediate family and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made in Wayne’s name to The American Cancer Society.
