SEGUIN — Police are looking for someone who reportedly fired gunshots into the air in a dispute Saturday evening.
According to a Seguin Police Department report, an 18-year-old resident of the 800 block of Nelda Street reported he was standing in his front yard at about 7:40 p.m. when a group of young men who were walking by began making comments to him.
As he approached, one of the young men pulled a handgun from his waist and fired three shots into the air as the victim fled toward his home.
Police are investigating the allegation as a case of deadly conduct.
Deadly conduct that places another in danger of imminent serious bodily injury is a class A misdemeanor. If the alleged conduct involves a firearm recklessly pointed at a person, or at a building, home or vehicle without regard to whether the weapon is loaded or the vehicle or structure is occupied, the offense is a third-degree felony punishable by two to 10 years in state prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
