700 block, Stratton Street
SEGUIN — A violin was among property taken in a burglary at Stratton Oaks on Saturday evening, police say.
According to a Seguin Police Department report, a resident returned home a little before 11 p.m. to find someone had gotten into the residence and stolen the violin, a 21-inch TV, a Sony PlayStation 2 video game console, a number of games, a DVD player, and a wallet containing $20 in cash and personal identification.
In all, the stolen property was worth nearly $2,000, police say.
The report didn’t specify how the burglar got into the apartment, which had been left secured at 7 p.m.
Investigation continues.
1900 block, Wayside Street
SEGUIN — A stereo face plate was taken in a vehicle burglary discovered Friday morning.
According to a police report, a woman returned to her 2006 Ford F-250 at 9 a.m. to find that someone had taken the face plate from its stereo system.
The missing face plate is worth about $200, police say.
400 block, South State Highway 123 Bypass
SEGUIN — A stereo system was stolen from a parking lot in a vehicle burglary reported Wednesday.
Police reported a 1984 Ford F-150 was parked in the 400 block of South State Highway 123 Bypass at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
When the victim returned at 2 p.m., the vehicle was found to have been broken into and its stereo stolen.
The missing stereo was worth an estimated $250, according to the police report.
1600 block, North Austin Street
SEGUIN — A wireless phone was stolen from a car parked a short time at a convenience store Sunday evening.
According to a Seguin Police Department report, the owner of a 1986 Lincoln Town Car stopped at a store in the 1600 block of North Austin Street at 10 p.m., went inside and bought a few items.
Upon return to the vehicle, a Samsung phone worth about $400 was found missing, police say.
500 block, South State Highway 123 Bypass
SEGUIN — A 19-year-old Seguin man was arrested on a solicitation complaint Sunday evening, police say.
Daniel Ramon was reported at 8:39 p.m. in front of a business located on South State Highway 123 Bypass, according to a police report.
The report did not say what Ramon was allegedly soliciting or seeking, and he reportedly refused to cooperate with the officer investigating the incident.
He was booked on a class C misdemeanor for violating Seguin’s soliciting ordinance.
As of Tuesday, Ramon had not posted $300 bail and remained in county jail.
2400 block, Villa Vista
SEGUIN — An air conditioning unit and a television were taken in a weekend burglary off Villa Vista, according to a police report.
A resident secured the home at 5 p.m. Saturday afternoon and upon return at 5:30 a.m. Monday, found a window air conditioning unit removed.
Inside, a 42-inch television was also missing, the report said.
In all, the two missing items were worth about $2,000.
