700 block, South Saunders Street
SEGUIN — A videogame console and games were discovered stolen in a vehicle burglary Sunday morning.
According to a Seguin Police Department report, the victim reported parking a 1977 F-150 pickup Friday.
Upon returning for the vehicle Sunday morning, the victim discovered it had been burglarized.
A PlayStation 2, 10 DVDs, eight PlayStation 2 games and a controller worth in all about $340 were taken.
The owner didn’t know how the burglar got into the pickup, police reported.
1000 block, Schriewer Street
SEGUIN — Burglars stole auto electronics from a recycling center over the weekend while also vandalizing vehicles, police say.
According to a Seguin Police Department report, burglars took four fire extinguishers, three video control screens and a GPS system from unlocked vehicles inside a fenced lot.
In all, the missing items were worth nearly $3,500.
No sign of forced entry to the property or the vehicles was noted. Some of the vehicles were sprayed inside with the extinguishers, police say.
700 block, Jefferson Avenue
SEGUIN — A water heater and a CD player were reported stolen Sunday in incidents believed to have occurred last week.
According to a Seguin Police Department report, a resident of the 700 block of Jefferson reported discovering a compact disc player missing from a vehicle Wednesday. The same day, a hot water heater was noted missing from the front porch of the residence.
No other information was available as to why the report was filed so late.
700 block, North Heideke Street
SEGUIN — Someone kicked in a door Sunday morning, but apparently didn’t steal anything in a burglary attempt at a North Heideke Street residence.
Police said the home was left locked at 11:20 a.m. When the victim returned less than an hour later, the door was discovered to have been kicked in.
A search of the home revealed nothing known to be missing.
Investigation continues, police say.
2800 block, Jay Road
SEGUIN — Officers who went to a residence on another matter ended up making a drug arrest Monday morning.
Timothy R. Aylesworth, 38, was booked into Guadalupe County Jail Monday morning on allegations of possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana and possession of less than 1 gram of a controlled substance, penalty group 1.

According to a Seguin Police Department report, police smelled marijuana when Aylesworth opened the door of a residence to a knock by police. Aylesworth admitted smoking the illegal weed, and surrendered the marijuana.
A subsequent search of the room revealed small plastic bags containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine.
