Susan Marie Wenzel
Susan Marie Wenzel, age 38, of New Braunfels, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009. She was born Dec. 30, 1970, in New Braunfels, to Norbert F. and Dorothy R. (Rohde) Wenzel. She was a 1989 graduate of Canyon High School. While a student at Canyon she was active in FFA and 4H and won two grand champion steers and one reserve champion steer at the Comal County Youth Show. She was an excellent housekeeper and she and her mother were caretakers of the Wenzel ranch.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothy R. Wenzel and two brothers, Roy E. Wenzel and Don M. Wenzel, all of New Braunfels. She was preceded in death by her father on Dec. 1, 2006.
Visitation will be at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday Oct. 28, 2009, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church or to the Mass.
