Lamone Wylie Dodd
Lamone Wylie Dodd, of McQueeney, Texas was born in New Willard, Texas on Dec. 1, 1938, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 22, 2009.
Lamone graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BS in Education. She taught for over 30 years, the majority at Seguin High School where she retired from in 1996.
Lamone is preceded in death by her father Spencer Lamond McAdams, mother Willella McAdams, brother Spencer McAdams, brother Benny McAdams, and step-son Steven Dodd.
Survived by husband Walter Eugene Dodd, daughter Valerie Wylie Hill, son and daughter in law Mac and Joan Wylie, son Marc Wylie, step-daughter Lori Vornsand, step-son and daughter in law Scott and Mary Dodd, and step-daughter and son in law Lani and Gilbert Chaparro; grandchildren, Justin and Tyler Hill; Austin, Caden, and Cara Wylie; and step-grandchildren, Nancy Lorfing, Susan Vornsand, Lisa Deleon, Kate and Grant Chaparro. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25 in the Goetz Funeral Home Chapel from 3-9 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Oct. 26 at Goetz Funeral Home beginning at 11 a.m. with interment services to follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park on Hwy. 46 in New Braunfels, Texas.
