Marcia Ann Stansberry
Marcia Ann Stansberry of Seguin, Texas was born in Bryan, Texas on March 29, 1957 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 1, 2009 at the age of 52 years. Marcia was a graduate of TLU in Dec. 1989 with a double major of business administration and marketing, and held membership to Alpha Kappa Psi.
She worked for the Seguin ISD from 1989 to 1999. Marcia also started her own business and ran it for 10 years as a Hot-Shot Driver making runs for ACME Trucking. She also worked for three years with RCA in Springfield on the engineering staff team.
Marcia is survived by her parents, Robert Jr. and Maxine Stansberry of Seguin; Brother, Roger Stansberry of Seguin; sister, Janet Stansberry of Seguin; uncle, Roland Naumann and his wife Nora and their children, Julie Sheldon and her husband Charles and their children Jennifer and Michelle, and Thomas Naumann and his wife Jenavee; and aunt, Jean Stiff of Brownfield, Texas and her son John Stiff of Cleburne, Texas. Marcia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bert and his wife Ella Naumann, and Robert R. Stansberry Sr. and his wife Dorothea “Dolly” Olivia Petty Becton. Marcia did not just love her family and friends.
She was a lifelong animal lover. Marcia is also survived by her two feline children, Ditto and Elvis and by her one canine child, Whitney. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the Seguin Animal Shelter on Hwy. 46. A memorial service will be held in the Goetz Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 beginning at 3 p.m.
