Martin (Marty) I. Nelson Jr.
Martin (Marty) I. Nelson Jr. of Kingsbury, Texas passed away Dec. 1, 2009, at age 66. Marty was born Nov. 12, 1943, in Stillwater, Minn. He was an Army retired sergeant major, after retiring he worked as a security guard in Luling, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Martin Ivan and Edna Irene Nelson of Mn. He survived by his wife Jimmie Carol Nelson, brother the Rev. Dr. Leroy Nelson of Minnesota., sister Irene Clopper of Md. two stepsons one stepdaughter, three daughters and one son; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held Dec. 18, 2009, at 11:45 a.m. Ft. Sam Houston. Memorial services are to follow at Fentress, Texas UMC at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations are accepted at SWTX United Methodist Center, c/o Ida Padilla 16400 Huebner Rd. San Antonio, TX 78248.
