The children giggled and huddled together as they helped each other pick out ladybugs and other insects from their garden at St. James Catholic School on Thursday.

The garden is part of the school’s 4-H Garden Club program and part of the Junior Master Gardener project, created in an effort to teach students to protect and conserve Texas’ natural resources by teaching safe, effective and sustainable horticultural practices that promote the development of healthy gardens, landscapes and communities.
