Members of the San Geronimo Cemetery Association gathered near the flag pole in the cemetery and smiled as a Texas Historical Commission marker was unveiled.

A project that took more than a decade has concluded with the San Geronimo Cemetery, 1620 E. Walnut St., officially being recognized as a state historical site by the Texas Historical Commission, the Guadalupe County Historical Commission and the San Geronimo Cemetery.
