Sometimes the things that go wrong are things you can’t begin to imagine. This is why I will never underestimate the power in a glove box.

I was on a trip with my mom, aka Grammy, and Mireya, our youngest, for a family gathering in New Mexico. We loaded up early in the morning, packing up most of our bulky items, food, and water in the trunk of my mom’s car. She’d insisted we take her vehicle, which is a nice, roomy car with a sunroof for fun. She’d spent considerable time preparing it for the trip including a check over by the dealer, so I got the idea that this was somewhat nonnegotiable.
