Pastor exhibit

A photo of Lady Ethel Lee and John Paul "J.P." Steadman sits on exhibit honoring the religious couple's life and legacy Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021, at the Seguin Guadalupe County Heritage Museum in Seguin.

Bishop John Paul “J.P.” and Lady Ethel Lee Steadman together led Refuge Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Seguin for 54 years.

Over the decades, the couple became pillars of the community and helped many members of the church and many people who did not attend services.
