Navarro vs Port Isabel

Panther running back Cole Mouser slips through the hands of a Tarpon as he makes his way down field toward the end zone during Navarro’s game against Port Isabel on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 in Beeville.

Four teams remain in the Class 4A-II, Region IV playoffs and they are all “the usual suspects.”

Navarro, Sinton, Cuero and Wimberley have been the dominant teams in the region in recent years. Since 2015, only these teams have made the regional finals (state quarterfinals). And at least one of these teams has reached the state quarterfinals in every year since 2001 with the exception of 2013.
